Stacees.co.uk has been known to sell knock-off formal dresses

After investigating Stacees.co.uk and Stacees.com, it has been discovered that this website is from Asia and they sell formal dresses that are not from the original designer, but copies that they make based upon a picture. Stacees has been added to our Do Not Buy list. They are illegally selling one or more dress lines using the manufacturers pictures or pictures from actual people without their permission. These dresses are imitations and not authentic from the actual designer. Buyer beware!

"They even not deserved one star. Sloppy dress, bad stitching, improperly sewn. I have ordered dress worth over 100 but they send me dress worth nothing, absolutely rubbish.It is no possibility to return the dress and refund.In 8th email they wrote: we suggest that you can have it slightly altered at the local shop and we will refund you 10 pound, is it acceptable for you? DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!"
"Terribly disappointing experience. I paid about 179 pounds for a mother-of-the-bride dress. It was so horribly disproportionate - the shoulder straps were 4 inches above my shoulders, the shoulder width was way too broad, and the sleeves were so long they covered half my hands! Not only could I not wear this dress for my son’s wedding, I also wasted hours and days seeking a resolution to the problem via email, only to realize finally that the company’s “full refund” policy was a hoax. As “compensation”, they had the audacity to ask me to pay another 100 pounds to get the same dress tailored again. (By now, this dress and most of their dresses in this category were re-priced in their website at below 100 pounds, so even if I had wanted to risk losing more money, the compensation didn’t make sense.) After a series of frustrating, demeaning and futile emails, I was offered 15 pounds‘ compensation. I informed them that it would cost at least 40 pounds to have the dress altered in my country. It was then that Stacee’s pulled out their trump card. I was asked to provide photographs of the dress again to prove my case. There was no explanation of why the photos I had sent them earlier were not adequate. Before I could send them the new set of photos, they re-sent me their dress-check report and glibly pronounced via email that the mismatch in measurements (the ones I gave them when ordering the dress vs the wrong measurements of the delivered dress) was minor and I would not get compensation. "

"This company leads you to believe they are out of the UK but they are from Asia! The dress material looks nothing like the website shows (it looks like sequins you would use on a little kids pageant dress) and they sewed it so terribly that the tailor is not able to correct it! I paid $149 and no matter how many times I sent pictures and tried to get them to understand they would only offer a 10% refund! DO NOT TRUST THEM!"

Stacees.co.uk has been added to our knock-off dress list. This company ships knock-off dresses from Asia and is trying to take advantage of consumers by selling dresses they claim to be authentic. This store uses images from manufacturers illegally under US copyright law.

Be extra safe when shopping online and do your research before buying from a company that you are not sure of!

I ordered dresses for the bridesmaids in my wedding and paid £86 for garaunteed expedited delivery to ensure they arrived on time. I contacted customer services prior to placing my order to check they would come, during the delivery process to check things were on track, and on the final/latest day my dresses were supposed to be delivered. Each time they said the dresses would be delivered on time. They were late. The company even gave me a delivery window that I later found out was made up, as when I spoke with the delivery company they said they have no contact with the delivery service in this capacity. As a result I had no dresses for my bridesmaids the day before my wedding. I had to buy new ones from a local shop which was very stressful and expensive the day before the wedding.

Worse yet, when explaining this to their customer service team they refused to refund me and let me return the dresses, despite me putting in the request to do so within the 14 day returns window. I had double checked with the company before ordering that the standard size dresses I had ordered would be eligible for return if we didn’t like them when they arrived and they had reassured me it would be fine. When I contacted them they just pretended not to understand that I had requested a return and offered me £29 compensation for my order that cost over £700 with no return or refund. They finally stopped responding to me with no resolution or explanation.

To be honest, the dresses (once they arrived) were actually good quality. But I will never order from this company again and warn you against doing so unless you are confident you won’t need to return anything and don’t have a deadline for delivery.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am having to follow up my claim with my credit card company and will be hiring a solicitor to help me with my case.

Our general return policy applies to all eligible products except certain dresses listed below. You may return product(s) within 7 days for either a store credit or you may make an exchange. We do not issue refunds. A store credit will be issued minus a 15% restocking fee will be applied to all returns/exchanges. We do not profit from this restocking fee since our suppliers charge us this fee. An RMA must be submitted for approval in order to return an item. Shipping fees, if any, which were applied at purchase are not refunded. Once the item is received, an email will be sent to you with a store credit code that does not expire or an exchange will be processed.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO RETURN AN ITEM?

We offer a 7-day return window for most purchases (exclusions listed below).

The return window begins when your package is marked "Delivered" by the tracking system. From that time, you have 7 days (including weekends and holidays) to make a return/exchange request. You will be unable to submit a return/exchange request after that 7-day period.

ABOUT RE:DO RETURNS

  • Customers now have the option to pay $1.98 at the time of purchase to later qualify for free returns on that order.
  • Didn’t add and checkout with Re:Do? You will still return like normal and purchase a label through them with discounted shipping rates saving you time and money!

WHAT ITEMS ARE EXCLUDED FROM RETURNS AND EXCHANGES?

The following items are not eligible for a return or exchange:

  • Clearance items (will be clearly marked "Clearance" or have the price that does not end in $xx.99 or $xx.98)
  • Wedding gowns
  • Quinceanera dresses
  • Cinderella Divine Black Label
  • Tiaras
  • Designer dresses by Andrea & Leo Couture and DeKlaire Bridal

ARE THERE ANY FEES FOR RETURNING AN ELIGIBLE ITEM?

The following fees are as follows:

  • If shipping was complimentary at checkout, original freight/handling cost will be deducted.
  • Customer is responsible for shipping costs on return/exchanged items if RE:DO was not added to your order at checkout.
  • A 15% restocking fee for all returns will be accessed.
  • Packages that are denied and "returned to sender" or refused will be subject to a 50% restocking fee.
  • Please note that any amount paid for shipping is non-refundable.

WHAT IF I WANT TO MAKE AN EXCHANGE?

If you would like to make an exchange for a different size or dress, simply submit an RMA by clicking here . Once approved, you will receive an email with instructions. The exchange process can take 7-12 days. Once the item has been received and approved, you will receive an email with a code that you can use to apply on our website to make an exchange. You will go through the checkout process online.

If time is of the essence, place a new order for the item you need, then contact us by email informing us of this decision. If for some reason the item that you ordered is not available, it will not constitute a refund. In such a case, a store credit will be issued once the original dress has been returned.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR RETURNED ITEMS?

  • Returns are carefully inspected; all original tags must be in place and the product must not show any signs of wear or damage.
  • Items found with snags, worn, washed, altered, ripped, stained, grease marks, pet hair, pen marks, perfume, deodorant stains, smoke odor and/or missing tags will be returned immediately at the customer's expense.
