TheCelebrityDresses.com has been known to sell knock-off formal dresses
After investigating TheCelebrityDresses.com, it has been discovered that this website is from Asia and they sell formal dresses that are not from the original designer, but copies that they make based upon a picture. TheCelebrityDresses has been added to our Do Not Buy list. They are illegally selling one or more dress lines using the manufacturers pictures or pictures from actual people without their permission. These dresses are imitations and not authentic from the actual designer. Buyer beware!

"This website was extremely hard to use. I had a small time crunch for a specific dress. Never got a confirmation email about the order or a tracking number. The dress came on time with a shipping label staying the value of the dress was only $89 when the site charged me over $200 for it but the dress they sent me was in the WRONG COLOR and the customer service refused to rush order the correct dress to get to in time AND refused to give me a full refund on the wrong dress staying they made it specifically tailored to me size which was a lie because you pick a BASIC size online. Claimed I would have to pay for shipping to return the WRONG DRESS and they would charge me a 50% restocking fee. Completely terrible. DO NOT ORDER OFF THIS SITE. can also tell most of these other reviews are FAKE to boost their scores."
"This online store makes replicas of famous dresses. I bought a replica of the dress Grace Kelley wore when she won her Oscar in 1955. I paid $280. The design and workmanship were acceptable, a bit less than what I expected but not bad. The quality of the fabric was appalling. I would not even use it as lining it was so bad. For $280 I expected much better. The website advertised "easy returns" but in fact they require you to pay tracked return shipping (which for me was nearly $60), they ask that you make a false customs declaration (declaring value <$50), and they don't refund the original shipping charge and they also keep 25% as a "re stocking" fee. None of this was said up front when I agreed to purchase. The website appears to be US based but it is actually based in China. If they used decent quality fabrics it would be worth it, but seriously the dress looked rubbish due to the fabric quality."
